Sad to say wala pa ang eclipse maka-change ug keymaps to netbeans.

Eclipse ang nindot para nako, since it is has fast performance in running and more innovative plug-in supported by independent programming society

in terms with Java.. okay gyud ang net beans.. nice gyud cya sa java.. like sa visual layout lang niya for swing and more.. diba? in the other hand ang eclipse.. ok pud for java.. ang nka nice sa eclipse kay daghan lang plugins.. good for pragmatic programmer.. kay if u develop another project aside from java.. like php, open laszlo and coldfusion ok man kaau ang eclipse.. at least comfy nka sa IDE..

been using eclipse for a while now, makes you really productive
    features i like:
    - can customize formatting/syntax coloring easily
    - lots of plugins (i wish a plugin for git would be available later)

my impression with netbeans was it was bloated and slow, well that was years ago when i tried using though.

I'ved finally done transferring my 5MB project to Netbeans, took me a week to complete. I'm using ver 6.1 and performance is a lot better than the previous versions. Does anyone have any tips for Netbeans newbies like me?

Netbeans 6.5 is out! Kinsay naka sulay? any comment?

  10. #20
I've used nb 6.5. la nako na memorize unsay bago from 6.1. but you can read it from their site.

I've used nb from 5.5 - 6.5 but I would still prefer eclipse. I think everyone's using Eclipse (figuratively speaking). The community is larger compared to Netbeans. I personally like it because it's more flexible and mature.

If you're starting out in Java, I would recommend Netbeans since it makes it very easy for you to implement your project.

But if you're goal is to learn an IDE thinking career-wise, then learn Eclipse coz more companies use it.
