With P2 pcs... maingon lang gyud nako nga ayaw gamit og heavy weight window managers like Gnome and KDE. Better off with Xfce and other light weight window managers... Also current OpenOffice will be too sluggish. Mas better ang other Office packages... Daghan man lightweight Office packages.Originally Posted by rhacieboy

Ang OpenOffice, hinay gyud lagi ni mo load sa? Layo ra gyud sila sa MS Office. Hapit na pod mahuman ako Suse 10. Naa pa diay professional version umaabot aning mandriva?Originally Posted by cebu_tux
Which installer? That of the NVIDIA?Originally Posted by iextreme
Generally, you have to recompile the driver to work with your kernel. You need the NVIDIA installer AND the Linux kernel source code. If you're using CentOS, the RPM packages required are kernel and kernel-sourcecode. Both of these must be installed first. The NVIDIA installer will attempt to recompile a driver for your kernel.
Take note that every time you install a new kernel, you must update the kernel-sourcecode package and recompile the NVIDIA driver.
I've been doing this for the past -1/2 now. A small hassle, but it's not too bad.
After uninstalation of linux, I formatted my disk in FAT32 format and restore the ghost image of my previous windows OS. I wonder why the GRUB loader is still on my start-up. Pls tell me how to remove this GRUB loader in the start-up. The windows cannot load because of this GRUB loader in the start-up. thanks!
Peace! Simplest way is to boot from a windows rescue disk and type fdisk/mbr.Originally Posted by rhacieboy
