is it becoz sah salary? or dle lng jd nahan mg.nurse?wat other resons, if any...
hhmmm... i have interviewed a of of nursing applicants and have asked them this question: was nursing your choice? most of them said this: NO - parents choice or decision, because if they won't take nursing, they were threatened that they cannot study college, and, that Nursing can take them abroad. I asked them a ff-up question - why call center, you have studied and had sleepless nights for this 4 year course and have invested a lot in terms of money, time and yourselves as well, and have passed the board, why call center. they said it's for practical reasons, bec of retrogression, bec of the scarcity of need for nurses in our local hospitals - they need now to help their families.

I personally don't have anything against people taking up nursing, my sister will graduate soon with this course. Maybe it would have been better if parents would have not been manipulative about it. Sayang kaayo ang hundresds of thousands of nursing grads nato nga wala dayon ka-landingan na trabaho s hospitals/clinics, med institutions. well wala sad ta kahibaw if one day, makatrabaho dyud as nurses ng atong mga nursing grads, pero mind you, in the call center I'm working with, in a day of recruiting people, esp kung job fairs namo, almost half of the applicants are nursing grads.. something to think about...

^ That is so sad. Working in the call center, or in any kind of job besides nursing, is really a step in the opposite direction, kay most likely mawala na imo momentum if dili nimo mapursue ang nursing. Pero mao lagi na, mapugos na lang jud ang kadaghanan kay wala na lain choice.

Is it true that most call centers today are not accepting nursing grads anymore? Kay muresign ra daw dayun ang uban once naa nay opportunity to work abroad?

uumm, yes most of the call centers do, they don't accept nursing grads bec of that reason. Tungod lng sa gbuhat sa ubang mga nursing grads na after a month or 2 mu-resign na, mao nang na-generalize nga basta nursing grad, di magdugay. pero di man sad tanan muhawa dayon, naay uban sa among company nga dugay na au, mga almost to more than a year na. i have this one particular hire sa davao city na job fair namo, he was able to pass the board and nag work na sya sa local hospital sa davao, mi-resign dyud sya kay being a nurse here in the philippines cannot sustain his financial needs esp kay sya nagpaskwela sa iya sister. wala na sad sya nagdahom mkaadto pa sa gawas kay no use. paet! pero he's now a regular and performing agent!

mau unta bitaw na di magbuot ang ginikanan ky ang profession pod bya ang maapektuhan labi kung wa gyud ang love sa imo gi-graduate-tan. wa gyud skills madevelop or dali ka ma-irritated ky way pasensya. wa pa labot na way claro sweldo samot ka init imo ulo ky mas grabe ang work expectation sa imo kung maka sulod man gali.

pero kani nahitabo karon ky stage ra ni sa recruitment...u wud not believe it, ako ky taas ako wait kay naabtan sad ko retrogression ug hasta kapila. i worked for a telecommunications company too and i regreted it ky pag larga nako nag lisod ko adjust ky less ra ako exposure sa clinicals. but pag abot sa ako na time, ky hurot2x sad ang nurses pag hire balik. so mao ra sad ni na cycle ron....mag patient lang ta ang uban or kung di na sila kapaabot then they have to make a decision and face the consequences afterwards...choices ra gyud na sa kinabuhi.

    TO THE THREADSTARTER
Well... I am a Nursing Graduate and all I can say is that it will always depend on how you dwell on your career path and be pliant like a bamboo..this are the reasons for my piont's sake:

    1. Nursing isnt just synonymous with working in a hospital (insurance companies employ nurses, large corporations need nurses for check-ups and first-aid, Airlines welcome flight attendants with medical knowledge, Many hotels and resorts also have nurses on staff, especially those in exotic five-star locations. you can even take your nursing degree and go into sports medicine or get an international certificate in therapeutic massage), or even work in United Nations

    2. If you think you are not satisfy with the Nursing job here then why not settle for another work ..My point here is that there is no reason to denigrate the achievement of nursing graduates just because they did not walk straight into nursing jobs. Most people have succeeded in life have "irrelevant" paper qualifications. It is the achievement of a college education that counts.

    3. and last... well If you have started working as a nurse then you continue it and get the exact experience you need plus the various licenses and etcetera and when the time comes if the Philippines will become a First world Country you needed it as a ticket for your dreams, you'd be rolling like a ferres wheel nyahahaha!!!!

Sad to say but LOTS OF WASTED TALENTS AND INQUISITIVE MINDS HAVE POURED INTO THE WRONG VENUE(I could have been a Biologist right now and contribute to the country's advancement in science SHIT!!!!)...tsk3x!! Oh well Im still 22 and I guess another four years wont hurt hehe!!..for those who said that He/she would rather wipe the ass of the americans and earn big bucks then go on....but for those who started to realized that nursing is not them well you can use it to pursue your dream atleast somehow, you will still have the nursing profession to fall back on..hehe
