i've bought various different components for my laptop, desktop and tiny laptop (eee) and i have to say pcx was the most complete in their selection. however, the mobo that i recieved was DOA, they did however replaced it within 2 days.
however, the next time i went there concerning about warranty replacement for my mobo i got the run around. my question was who do i go to if i have a problem with the mobo within the pcx warranty. they said go to pcx. than i asked what if it runs out, asus has a 2 year warranty. i wanted to know who i can talk to if my mobo breaks. they had me calling their place for days. the tech told me various different things that i knew were bs. he told me that i had to find a distributer in the pi, than he told me to find the number for asus online and i had to call it. finally he told me to sign up to asus website for some other thing. in the end, he had no idea
i finally had to go there a find a manager just to find out the answer to my question. a simple "i don;t know, let me ask someone who does would have been ok." instead i got the run around them
i went to a store in sm (can't really remember the name so i won;tname a store, i maybe wrong) anyway i asked the tech if he had any ram for the asus eee. he tells me that asus uses a different type of ram and i can't upgraded it. i told him to open up the laptop (didn;t care if he would void the warranty) and he was shocked to find out that it was a type of ram they carried.
i never really had any other type of interactions with any other pc stores.
can anyone recommend one to me when i decided to upgrade my desktop.
