i doubt if ateneo would suffer the same fate as last year's UE squad. the main difference is the toughness the blue eagles are showing this year. gone are the days when the entire team backs down and loses composure when other teams try to play them physical by shoves and hard fouls.

also, last year's UE squad didn't have a go-to-guy whom they could count on to take over a close game during the final minutes. ateneo's team this year is the best defensive team and if they can clamp down their opponents, they still have a chance of winning the game even if they shoot poorly from the field. UE was a run 'n gun team and didn't play much defense, much like the phoenix suns. and we all know why the suns didn't win a championship with the offense-oriented playing style.

and by defense, ateneo showed it can clamp down on the other team's best players, e.g. casio's lackluster output in both elimination games against ateneo.

walay ayo ang ust kay si cruz ra ang consistent performer and when it comes to crunch time, they don't give him the ball. trigger happy sa tres ilang mga players, especially ang rookies, like clark bautista. very unfortunate kay mvp numbers unta raba ang gihatag ni jervy. oh well, time to rebuild kay graduate na si jervy...
