same story ra gud na nikon... most of the users will go for the nikon not the sigma.. because they have the option...

mora'g wa nimo matuhog ang gisuwat ni mark.

the canon is not yet in store. so, if you have the need, and what i mean here is real need and not just want which you can postpone for another month or so, then what is available today is the sigma.

its no use insisting today on a non-existent lens.

This will be my first and last post as onetimebigtime. I made this account up because I can't take it anymore and just have to vent this out...

ey believe me i like canon as much if not more than the next guy but the 18-200 OS is my MOST used and most satisfied sigma lens ive ever owned (and ive gone thru quite the line up already).
and i have ALL the canon f2.8 and f4 zooms worth mentioning and most of the prime lenses for studio work. so i think that says quite a bit bout this lens.

now if you ask me will i get the canon...well since i can afford it, il probably will...so i can personally test it hehehe.
will it replace my sigma...that would be a big question mark hehehe...if it proves to be that much of a benifit over the sigma, why not
but the sigma does fairly well with macro and its OS is just superb. if canon can beat that, then its a yes

sabta kuno tarong ako comment...im actually for the sigma...i like that cheaper lens...a lot...even compared to more expensive lenses.besides how else do i compare or have an opinion of that 18-200 lens i got than comparing it with what other lenses i also own!? kung di ka kasabot ana...problema na na nimo.

again that sigma option was directed to staticpulse (and those who doesnt want to spend more than 25k for any lens or those who need the lens right now) who wants a cheaper options sa gi post ni pandisal.

I use a Sigma 24-70 f2.8 as my walk around and yes I am satisfied with my lens. in fact this lens is the most abused lens I have aside from my 50mm f1.8.

going back to the topic if I could afford this, I would get this glass OR the sigma 18-200 OS

its just opinions here bro, wala lang sukoay... the new 18-200m IS sa canon is a long wait for canon'ers since nikon got theirs... it is really nice to have this lens for every day use, "ONE LENS THAT RULES 'EM ALL" nyaks! :P mao na nga swerte ra pud nga ang sigma (third party reputable lens maker) made it for canon and it is also a great lens overall.
