Issues with Toyota

my friend has a VIOS bought last year 2007. nka try ko drive n nkabantay jud ko nga lain jud ang tingog sa makina compared sa other cars inspite sa 8 months old palang. ang busena bati au. after 8 months ky na punder daun ang small light besyd sa headlight. gi adto namo sa toyota den gipabayad mi ug 800+ to buy a new one. liman ka wa pa kaabot 1 year na guba na den nglibog ko ky under warranty pa jud. Den d latest breakdown ky inig liko mutingog na murag tagiltil sa ilawm as wat d mekaniko had found out. taas au ako expectations sa TOYOTA but now so disappointed ky wa na jud au ila quality sa cars. ang VIOS nowadays murag ng MASS PRODUCTION bahala bati ang quality basta dghan halin n to think mahal ra ba au. We have a toyota car b4 but as long as i can remember wala man ko experience ani wen it was even 5 years old.
this is just my experience with the new toyota VIOS... no more no less

bro nothing against you ba.. maybe ang car na nakuha sa imo friend kay apil to sa defects sa company.. dli man jud na malikayan dba? daghan ko nailhan na naka vios niabot nalng ug 100t ila mileage bro... feels bnew lang ghapon if mosakay ka... try asking sa mga med reps bro.. vios man jud na kasagaran.. dont jump into conclusions and nag base lang ka ug usa ka auto.. i also have a vios and so far.. hands down ko sa toyota.. my family was involved in the automotive industry when we were in manila, we used to sell 2nd hand cars so, we are not limited to just one brand sa experience wise.. we tried almost every brand, even the luxury cars, tested na namo. believe it or not.. toyota jud amo ma recommend. and we currently are using 4 toyota vehicles and 1 bmw in w/c it served us very well to the extent na amo nalng i resale wala lang ghapon major defects.. we change our cars every 4 years by the way para dli pa kaau ubos ang value when we get a bnew 1.

I just want to clarify things. since I recently know that vipvip68 is predo's boss (no need to name names). And that makes you both Pro Toyota. and that explains things why you defend toyota. Well thats understandable, if I own toyota I would also defend it with my heart. I am not biased in any brand since I have honda and toyota as well. what i am pointing out here is that please dont be biased as well, accept the critics of the people.

Accept the fact that most people think that the honda civic is better looking than the altis. Because I accept also the fact that the Toyota Fortuner is better than Altera, sorento and sta.fe. And camry also is a very nice car. No Biases, be truthful enough to accept the general views of the people.

For me, i never questioned the performance of Toyota. Toyota is one of the best car manufacturers in the world. but some models may excel and some may not. I hope na you understand my point of view kay wala ko nangita og away. the reason i came to this thread in the first place is that I was irritated by vipvip68 the way he took shots at me at the honda civic vs. corolla altis thread. Now i know you are connected with Toyota, I understand you. Peace man!!!

Toyota makes good cars. I've owned Toyotas before. My first car was actually a Toyota MR2 - way problema atung awtoha pero pwerteng gamaya so I traded it in for a Supra (which is also a Toyota). Further down the road nakapalit sab ko ug Toyota 4Runner - wa say problema.

Toyotas are known for making reliable cars. Actually ang CAMRY was voted as the most reliable and dependable car sa U.S. for pila ka years.

It's good that you cleared things up.

Let me clear things up as well.... I don't work in Toyota and I am not connected with Toyota operations / management in any way or form. I am merely stating my points based on my own opinion and those of others that I have heard.

With regards to this, any personal affiliations a poster may have has nothing to do with the topic as good arguments are founded on logical points and sensible opinion...

If you would read my posts, I always give reasons as to why I prefer this brand over the other. A fanboy would blindly choose one brand while not mentioning any valid points or reason for choosing so. If you would read my posts... I mentioned that I liked both Altis and Civic but I personally would choose the Altis due to it being positioned more towards luxury than sport. If the Civic was designed more towards luxury and the Altis towards sport...then I would have preferred that...

If you further read the posts on Altis vs. Civic... I was merely making my points on the topic to which you took offense and for that I sincerely apologize. My replies were intended to make my points regarding the concept of luxury being subjective and the reasons why I prefer a particular car over another.

It's unfortunate that we had some heated discussions but that's what happens when we start making off handed comments which don't really address the other persons' points.

So let's just concentrate on our points... and try to not make any off handed remarks...

Also, we shouldn't make this personal by saying that someone is Pro this.. or Pro that.... even if I was having this discussion with a top ranking executive of Honda, Toyota or any other car company here in the forums... I would argue based on the points of his posts...not on whether he's pro this or pro that.

Hopefully this will settle things.

regarding sa tagiltil sa ilawm, i have a friend who owns a rav4 bag-o palang pero naa gyuy mu tagiltil sa ilawm unsa kaha to sah? especially we brought it padung north pag agi namo sa kabatuan unahan consolacion kay nag tagiltil gyud.. ambot na solve na ba kaha to nya na problem.
