regarding system restore

mga master, unsaon pag system restore sa pc if wa na kay control panel, task manager and run? kay naay pc dri nga ingon ana ang nahitabo kay na-infected sa virus, then ingon to ang tag-iya nga mao pod daw to nahitabo sa iyang pc sa una ang gibuhat kuno sa technician nga iyang gi-hire ky system restore ra without formating. but sad to say nga wa na cyay kontak sa technician ron mao ask ko ninyo para maka-help pod ko niya,,, unsaon mani mga master?

if this is windows xp then system restore does not clean the infection. this is the same reason why you need to turn off system restore before performing a cleanup since the infection would also spread to the system restore files. instead, restart computer to safe mode with networking. download and run smitfraudfix fro there (google it). then restart to normal mode and perform a full scan with your favorite antivirus program.

smitfraudfix has some reverse fixes for viruses that do these things.

pero naayo raman lagi tong problemaha niya sa una using sytem restore? how about if i-delete nimo ang file nga nga infected after system restore? but unsa man jud d i process sa pag-system restore if ingon ato na ang case,, pls tell daw

i wouldn't say it was fixed, dormant maybe but not fixed. the restore files were infected, yes, they stay there until you perform another restore where the files are already infected. sometimes windows, does a system restore on itself when it boots up.

correct. not all infections can be fixed by system restore. dont be too dependent sa system restore, because system restore is feasible on almost everything except for virus infections.

but how can i disable startup items that in fact the RUN command was gone? is there another way to access the RUN?

murag depende raman jud na bay. diba marevert man imo pc to an earlier state and the only things di maaffected kay imong saved documents sa my doc? murag if wa naapil kainfected ang my doc dayon murestore ka sa earlier state before the virus infection, mawa raman. i think system restore was also designed for this. ang nakabati lang kay kung ang virus kay dormant and ang restore point kay nasave when the dormant undetected virus was still there. but i think sa mga virus nga bago ra naabot like kanang mga mupop out after u installed an unknown downloaded program, mawa ra using system restore.

lazy man sad ko gud, kapoyan na kog smitfraud, vundofix, hijack this logs, DL other antivirus or antispyware, kay most if not all the time, ig system restore nako mafix raman. before katong di pa ko magsystem restore it would take me hours on end especially with those pesky viruses nga pwerteng lisura tangtangon. kapoy nag trial and error. so system restore is my first choice as of now.
