Default HELP Identify Vine on the Wall

    Guys, i need your help.
Does anyone know unsa na klase nga vine ang ginagamit pang cover sa wall? Usually you'll see these sa mga wall fence sa mga houses.

The leaf is kinda small, and i guess its a type of vine kay mokatag man sya eventually covering the entire wall. Dili sya typical vine na pare sa ampalay nga katag, gamay lang sya and it sticks to the wall, and im guessing by the way it looks, it doesn't need a lot of cutting and maintenance.

Its similar to the one you see on the pic below.

    Please daw ko help daw
    1.) Identify the Vine
    2.) Asa ta ka kuha
3.) How to grow and maintain it =)

If you have this sa inyo house, pwede ko mangayo ug pics please?
I need to send it to my ma, para makita pud niya unsa ako pasabot.
    Salamat sa tanan!

I think in the Philippines that type of wall creeper vine is the Ficus pumila, or the creeping fig or fig ivy. It's also known as wood lotus or P'i-li in Chinese.

    1. Agrees with Diem. It's the same vine behind me.

When my parents and I planted this, I looked it up...Ficus pumila...Incidentally this very plant was my topic for a term paper in Botany, when I was taking up Landscape Architecture in UP back in '88.

    2. However, I believe local gardening shops usually call it "Wall Creeper".

    3. Apart from regular trimming, I don't think it takes a lot of maintenance. If you don't trim the buds that start on the top part of the walls, it will start to branch upwards, and it doesn't look good.

UPDATE: Here's a photo I took of the same wall, with a more "aesthetic" intent...this is off my DeviantArt gallery...
