hey you really got me there...the Reid brothers mixed PISTOLS,BEACH BOYS.VELVETS AND THE CRAMPS plus a high approach to drugs...have you seen them live lately...nagCOACHELLA sila noh? i believe scarlett johanssen sang a few songs with them?



would like to inject another artist when it comes to attitude and ideology RICHEY JAMES EDWARDS (who's still AWOL since 1994) he use to plya guitars for MANIC STREET PREACHERS....although he admitted that during recordings HE NEVER PLAYED A SINGLE NOTE....and during shows his telecaster was only use for visual prop...it was his lyric writing, his cover sleeve design for most of their early albums that made him an icon to their fans...

Yeah, I saw JAMC earlier this year ... they toured actually, pero yeah, they played at Coachella where Johansson went to sing backup (Just Like Honey). A friend of mine and Miahbird saw that exact performance.

though i am 4 the clash but i cant deny the 1 achievement the pistols were able to leave and that is to destroy the concept of dinosaur rock(bloated) as exemplified by the acts of Led Zep, Pink floyd of that era.by by crossing the line between performer and audience, for the pistols the 2 are are the same level hence to spit, or the audience can fight back,,no clear demarcation u both share the music and be an active participant of the gig itself and that lies the beauty of the anarchist attitude..
and by that they were iconic..i pity though the KLM stewardess that they harrassed..

although they were anti-mainstream rock(or dinosaur rock as you would call them)...they still had plenty of groupies(prevalent on such dinosaur rock bands). siouxsie sioux was one of them. nonetheless, atittude-wise 'Pistols all the way!!!
