i mean doing business??
safer than most places
as a seller, yes. as a buyer, you have to do your research on the seller
sa buyer side i think nindot ang ebay.com compared sa ebay.ph. daghan man gud na mga agencies imo ma-reklamohan kung magbinuang ang seller (after sa imo research) unlike dinhi sa RP na morag wa klaro. I heard na daghan na ni-balhin og lain auction house 'coz of ebay's fees. try looking for other auction house na mo-offer og lower fees or better yet wa na fee. gud luck. i've been an ebay member since 2K.
invest in good feedback. then try lang gyud na wa ka negative feedback.
daghan diay kalahian sa ebay.com ug sa ebay.ph? as far as I know, buyers are protected if they pay through paypal, ang kapait lang sa atoa kay alkansehon sa shipping charges kay medyo mahal mahal ang rate.....here in UK, daghan ning succeed sa ebay in their business kay grabe man pod ang traffic sa ebay nga site, thus, more potential buyers...even shops here have their own ebay shops, normally they sell reconditioned/refurbished units like Dell, HP, O2, Orange (mobile phone network), etc..... so, if ok ang ebay for your business? if the traffic sa ebay.ph site is good, then maayo siguro, as to charges, i think reasonable ra man pod. IMO.
eBay is designed to be a safe place for both buyers and sellers, so basically if you do something bad, the whole world will know about that, this can be seen on the user feedbacks. Even one negative feedback would give a bad impression and would greatly affect your sales.
So simply
As a buyer, look for sellers who has a handful of positive feedbacks and has a no negative feedbacks
As a seller, avoid getting negative feedbacks from your customers by giving them good customer service and product satisfaction (even your packaging would matter)
Paypal, which is owned by eBay, is also a problem for sellers here in the country. I don't have updates but I think receiving money for local paypal accounts is still limited.

you can use paypal for your money transactions as it will protect you in the world of online shopping.
