Nursing Profession

Hi there guys.. Im not a RN but my wife and my sis-in-law are but this is what I've noticed with my sis-in-law since passing the RN national board exam last june 08 she's been feeling like she knows what she's doing.. Before she was shy and nice but now she's acting very horrible lately.. Na hambugira man nuon cya.. Na shock gani ko.. It's nice to read messages from this post specially from you guys that are already abroad and working as full time Nurses and yet you guys are still humble and down to earth..

My wife right now is an ESL Teacher.. She passed the June 07 exam and wasnt able to work right away since she was the one who took care of my father from his admition up to his death between Jul until Oct '07.. My father died on her arms gani.. Right now she really wants to work in a hospital but the problem is there's so many applicants right now that she's teaching koreans while waiting para mag earn sad cya money.. She's also planning of beeing a volunteer.. She's been very patient not like my sis-in-law nga pag pasar muag kinsa unya pag interview para sa ESL na hagbong mag sapot-sapot dayon unya mag wala sa iyang kwarto.. Shock lang jd ko! Na kurat lang ko!

pls. remind ur wife to keep her feet grounded always...its gud that she has not change compared to ur sis nlo. this is the essence of the profession...when u help u dont need to advertised it. wen u know something, u can probably share information but not necessarily imposing it for everyone. let other people see the gud deed, the character, skills and intellect.

I always thought hayahay ang trabaho sa nurse. Abi nako kani rang mga CNA or LPNs ang mobuhat sa mga difficult tasks (eg. dealing w/ bug-at and cranky patients). Now I know dili man diay lalim gyud oi. You really work for your money.

korek....mao gyud unta ni huna2x-on sa mga RNs na ultimo ra gihapon ta...we r just a part of their population dri and way special ttt tungod sa imo propesyon. so dapat, we'll humble ourselves unta gyud

@vienzel: ..mao jud teh.. daghan na kaayog nausab karon sa bag-ong curriculum, cguro ilang gibagay sa new flow sa profession karon.. sa demand ug sa quantity sa mga students nga ganahan mag nursing.. pero i dont know sa ubang skuls ha.. tungod sa kadaghan, lisooood na kaayo icomplete ug kaso.. tak2x jud imong kwarta ug pasenxa para lang maka-kaso ka.. and d man sad tingali sa kadaghan pud.. murag tungod pud kay kulang ang period sa student exposure sa major clinical areas.. bsta kay nangluod jud ko sa AHSE kay wa mi pharma ato.. karon kay gibalik nman tingali nila.. good for them..

i dunno if im one of the so-called new breeds, nagkalicense ko last june 2006.. yep, kami 2ng the
"unfortunate batch", katong naa leakage issues..nagvoluntary retake pako last june 2007,may gali pasar japon, ^_^..

more than 2 years na, wa gihapon ko experience.. naa ko 2 year experience pero sa call center..
some of my batchmates would say nga "matay-an" ra daw ko ngari sa akong call center stint pero
wa sila kahibaw nga "it's more than reading the socalled script" profession..

before, naning kaau mi sa amo batch,buwagan gud ang uyab, magkulong sa kwarto, bisan nagsakay sa vhire ug PUJ, hala basa japon ug libro..
ako nabantayan mga new student nurses karon kay hilas kaau, labi na kung mag-uniform.. unya murag happy-go-lucky raman kau ila mga nawng, heheh..murag way pre/post tests everyday pareha sauna..

wa sila kahibaw, after graduation and board exam, wala pa sila katunga.. if some are half-baked, ang uban gi-masa pa, heheh..

i have a friend who works as a nurse in the west coast and the only thing she loves doing so much is to brag about her being a frickin' nurse.
