"Tugnaw" is a result of more than one element. You can use "bugnaw" if you specifically want to separate one element from the others.

    eg.
bugnaw ang hangin sa dagat. <--- here you separated the wind from the sea
tugnaw ang baybay. <--- here there are two elements involved, wind and sea (baybayon).

So you cannot say "tugnaw ang halo-halo" because it's already been separated from the refrigerator.

    However you can also say

ang ka bugnaw sa baybay. <--- here it sounds like a first-hand experience. it's as if you want to specifically describe your relationship with the beach - like you have an affair with it - by how it makes you feel.

    and

ang ka tugnaw sa baybay. <--- common knowledge

Tugnaw is a general, over-all feeling. Bugnaw is a little bit more specific/particular.

Tugnaw is the dance. Bugnaw is the steps. At least that's how I see it.
