ATI 4870 or ATI 4850 crossfire?

your P45 board is not ideal for crossfire... you have to first upgrade your board to X48... pwede ra pud ang X38, either nila, capable of 2 16x nga pcie slots... while ang imong mobo is only one 16x pcie and the other is 8x... limited ang bandwidth sa isa... therefore, mas hinay imong crossfire, whether 4870 or 4850...

after upgrading your mobo... then choose two 4870 for crossfire... labi na kung dako kaayo imong monitor gamiton... mas effective and ddr5 sa 4870 when it comes to high resolutions... if money is not a problem, then go for the extreme... buy two 4870X2's

sir, my mobo is mATX (DFI Lanparty JR-T2RS). I believe, as of today, this is the only mATX with Xfire capability (correct me if i'm wrong).

Anothe reason why I got the HD 4850 is to save the extra slots available on the motherboard. Limited raman gud ang mga mATX.

Anyway, I got the 2 Diamond HD 4850 today and the board will come tomorrow.

bro what fish was referring to was the PCI-E slots of your mobo
yes its x16 per slot but with xfire it x16/x8
there will be a performance penalty with this setup
it may not be that significant but there will be a decrease on your scores
x48/x38 mobos have x16/x16 when xfire is enabled

Based on reviews about the diamond 4850s...murag init jud daw ni..maybe ako lang guro ilisdan ug Innovative Cooling (IC) Diamond thermal paste basin makatabang gamay.

mao lagi daw bro..init jud ang 4850..labina na guro ni akoa kay mATX ang ako case....pero nawon lang nya ani nig maasemble na ni tanan..daghan pa kuwang oi...hurot na budget..
