hahaha. it's not about who will win in the future, its about now, today, karon. plain, hard, and simple. you fanboys never go tired, don't you?

it's been a pretty lousy year from AMD fanboy land. (with excerpts from MAXIMUM PC) even the most vocal of fan boys have found themselves ducking for cover as AMD was hit with delays, production problems and errata bugs. Phenom can't make Core 2 sweat.

common sense (yeah, COMMON sense) dictates that the thread is about AMD X2 and Core 2 Duo, not Core 2 Duo versus a future AMD product (45nm Deneb? or maybe Shanghai?) na maka syat sa Core 2 Duo sa kaldero (which eventually still would crawl on its belly and sweat fighting Nehalem and/or Westmere) (make a separate thread for that one, but i doubt if you'd like the responses, though.).

stick to plain hard facts, benchmarks, and some user experiences. hm... have you ever compared
an intel C2D and AMD X2? i guess not. i suppose you just copy and paste info from the net.

don't get me wrong, an Athlon X2 is no slug by any means. it just couldn't compete well with Conroe.

(and you say Intel is using media hype?) - -
when Phenom first launched late last year, DAAMIT had built up wild expectations that Phenom would take on Kentsfield. pero, all it could do was crawl on its belly to compete with Q6600 which was more than a year old. CHIPZILLA is already demonstrating fully functional Nehalem CPUs and are kicking.
