you pay your SSS through your company job not from your own pocket as a freelancer is it? if otherwise does that mean that you line up at SSS Office to pay?
you don't earn much as a freelancer coz you are not full time...

i think this is how sss works
if your employed you + company pay for your SSS
if your freelance you pay for your sss (smaller amount)... even though you pay for your sss doesn't really mean that you secured your retirement. SSS only give so much that the amount would almost be useless when you get old

I agree... let say when you rich at 60years old. you will get a pension in range of 3k-5k every month. let say you start paying this year at age of 25 so that means at year 2043 you will get that amount monthly.... OMG... on that year baka ang 3k mo 1day nlang

This is exactly true. Hehehe! There are plenty of living examples for this one. This is very familiar "Ayaw lang mo didto sa mga dagko nga company kay 20K ra na ilang hatag"

The income tax rate is very low. only about 12% when having an Employment Pass but it will go down to as low as 4% when you become a PR (permanent residence) madaling lng dito mag pa PR...they need more people here in sg. imagine in 4million population ng SG 1million po ang foreign, and super dami na pinoy...kaya medyo feel at home ka na din. I feel very safe also though I worked in SG & Indonesia (few minutes away in sg by ferry). you can also rebate your tax to max of $3000...I don't know paano process nito. hindi ko narin inaalam. basta nalang ako tatawagin kc. but found others they apply for it. pero honest naman ang government dito.

one advantage sa sg is you can apply any dependend pass for your family or sponsorship to look for job.but take note that it is pretty expensive living here. pero depende lng sa tao yan. SG is the stepping stone if you want to migrate other countries. kc once when you become a PR you don't need any VISA to go to European countries and some US states. kung meron man medyo madali na. madali rin mag visit sa family mo back and forth to pinas. kc medyo mura at malapit lang. compared to saudi, australia, uk etc...

going back to Tax rate...some companies offer tax free, accomodation, transport allowance, meals etc... it really depends on how you bargain.
