i have nothing against fiestas because, after all, it's a celebration. people deserve to be happy.

the ONE thing I EXTREMELY hate about it to my very core are their processions!

Ok ra unta ba na mag rampa mo sa inyong ginoo. ayaw lang unta hasola ang tibuok ciudad sa inyong tinuhuan. (exluding the Sinulog, of course, which happens to be a city-wide celebration)

and I know what the response of the faithful would be: "sige lang, dong. ginoo mani."

awa ra na! gigamit pa ang pangalan sa ginoo para makatuman sa ilang gusto (i.e. obstructing traffic, which happens to be a violation)! yikes!

I'm not sure if a commandment here is applicable but it's surely using God's name in vain.
