Well, my parents were alumni of this full of glory school.

To the topic:

I don't think if a "former military" personnel running MSU (if he's still in the seat) would mean that the school is being militarized...even knowing that this school is in the area where trouble most likely appears or if its a hotspot of politicing...If its for the welfare of the school, why not? Whether the institution of this military man is a strategy or not, a means of politicing or not, or of doubtful motive or not so long that it remains as a school by its real essence, why not?

Militarized...does it mean as a school (in this case) being run by a milatry man? Or in the way the school is being run? Which is which? Both?

imo de leon did quite well in his term(compared to previous presidents)..turns out a guy like him is what the school really needed. sayang napulihan n daw :/

MSU needs to be treated like one, grabe na kaayo squatters/etc did2. but dont worry wala na si de leon did2, muslim napud balik ang president

In the listing of the “Top 20 Schools in the Philippines” -- the result of the study conducted by the Professional Regulatory Commission and the Commission on Higher Education -- MSU-Marawi ranks No. 13. The College of Business Administration of MSU-Marawi ranked among the Philippines’ top three performing schools, Category C, in the May 2007 Board Examination for Accountants.

We should also note that MSU has faced, among other problems, the KIDNAPPING of students and faculty by armed groups.

Hi peeps im a proud MSU-IIT product too..

as of now the issue of this ex-Military Pres of MSU has already been sent into the abyss.

But for some of my colleagues who are still connected with the university, partly nightmare ang ila experiences. =)
