i totally agree with this post. but you left out one detail though. it's all in the lens. So no matter how many MP your cam has an SLR with 4MP has a better quality pic than, say, a 6MP or 8MP cam.

The purpose of the higher MP is so you have a better digital zoom. But nothing beats optical zoom gyud. But higher MP has its economic advantages. Compared to an optical zoom lens mas barato baya to just buy a 20T 10MP cam than a 250K SLR zoom lens. diba? hehehe... palit nalang ko ug auto ana!
