way lami kay pilde napod lol...

@Lance..ingon ka mo cheer ka, naka 4-point play ra ba si Bakker gahapon

    Something I dont understand:
The Warriors when they run their halfcourt set, had the open looks, higher percentage shots leading to baskets scored. Then why on earth would they take hurried outside shots after just one pass on the next few offensive plays with much time remaining on the shotclock? Pwerti pa jud on fastbreak plays with USC having a 3 on 1 advantage, the PG refused to make that forward pass to the 2 guys ahead.

Officiating wasn't as bad as the other games but early boo-boos by refs probably influenced how the Warriors played the game although it probably had no direct effect on the outcome of the game. Citing some instances:
    1. In the first half, Manny Gabas took some time to stand up after a USJ-R basket, complaining. That would have been OK, should the Warriors been allowed to inbound the ball without delay. But one ref held on to the ball, and the USC inbounder had to wait before the ref handed the ball to him. That should have been a warning for delay of the game, but there was no call made. That would have been easily a 5-on-4 advantage on the opposite end. So why should the refs delay the inbound deliberately right in the middle of a USC min-run?

    2. On the Jaguars offensive set, Gabas was called for a warning(I think it was for continuous complaining). Then soon afterwards, he was called for a technical foul. If the earlier warning should have been called, that could have been his second T, he should have been disqualified as early as the 1st half.

    3. On a made free throw by USJ-R, the same ref in event #1, took the ball, and while a USC player waited on one side for him to hand the ball over for inbounding, the ref ran to the opposite end of the baseline and put the ball on the floor and started counting. USC inbounded the ball on time, but what was on that ref's mind? That ref was standing right next to the inbounding player before he ran to the other end.

    4. This 4th incident though is a close call. Sometime in the 3rd quarter, Lyndon Gudez hit Michael Cantonao on the face with his elbow in my full view. It appeared that Gudez was not after the ball since Cantonao was driving. It could have been an unsportmanlike foul that merits 2 technical foul shots and ball possession. In the MLKP summer league, a similar incident happened in a SWU vs. USC game. AJ San Juan slipped and accidentally hit a SWU player on the head. ALthough the contact was unintentional, the ref explained, it didn't matter because at any rate, he will not have the power to second guess the penalized player's intention.

Although, officiating was not perfect, it still does not absolve the Warriors of their sorry loss. That is because, as a team, they are expected to just play their game and worry less about the officiating. In the past, they have earned their following because of their ability to rise above adversity.
