If you work abroad be wise spending money, dont spend unnecessary things kay you'll end up nothing... daghan na kaayo na lubong sa utang. We always wanted to go back home... so... the secret, live-a- simple-life-while-in-abroad.

my father works abroad since time immemorial. lisod jud daw kaayo didto especially kon mag snow. wla kay kataguan. pay-wise, dili na malalis. pero kaning malayo sila sa pamilya, a simple call/text/letter na how are you or take care - dili jud kabayran ila kalipay...

yes working abroad is not all that you think it is.
It is hard but at least the salary compensate for it.

what makes it harder is the fact that you will be spending most of your time at work, apart from it matug na lng ka sa room......unlike sa pinas naa pa tay nite life......

It takes much more struggles working here, especially in terms of money matters. (like building up your savings). It could be that life isn't as easy as a pie when you go abroad but I think compensation is great and your attitude towards this matters as well.

Lisud mag adjust at first, start everything from scratch, pero kung medyo maka establish na bawi ra gyapon. Ang pinoy man gud dali ra makaadjust maski asa man mapadulong

I very much agree with this topic.

I am one of the pinays married to a western guy, it was difficult for me being away sa parents. It was a very big adjustment for me, adopting western life, another cultures, food and way of living, daghan kaayo mausab. Pero, nabasahan nako some comments nga ok stay lang ta sa pinas, para dili ta ma himong slave sa uban, its true, pero abi ninyo para nako, kon stay sa pinas, ambot unsa ako life. ngita bitaw ko work, apply ko Mc Donald, apply ko jollibee, pero wala jud ko nila gidawat kay mubo daw ko. You see, life for me in Cebu, doens't work. I came to Vietnam with my hubby, i find a job as a Assistant to the Director. Maybe life works in some different ways. Maybe it doens't work me but does to anyone. And as a worker here, i meet a lot of filipinos, working as nannys and maids and housekeeper to western people even to a rich vietnamese people! And most of these filipino workers always complain that family back in pinas keep asking their salary to be send every month. Annoying no? I am sorry guys but most of these families back home hasn't got a single clue of what is life outside philippines. They think the word abroad meaning easy money...They don't give a monkey of how difficult it is to deal with locals and to abide their law especially i think in a communist country. I have a nanny here (to look for my 3 year old son), i imported her from Bohol and honestly i paid her well. It is not a peanut when you compared it in peso money. I paid everything for her from visa to one ticket one year, which is a very good package. But the same story - families, brothers and sisters and neighbours asking money. Kay ngano konong di man kahatag ug warta pati chocolate nga abroad man? You see??Wa nila huna hunaa pwerteng kayud sa akong naany dini. Maka sapot no? Para nako is nindot naa ka abroad (para ra pod na nako ha) kay dini man ko nakakita ug nindot nga trabaho. Pero dili sayon, tinood nga ang imong feeling is different compared naa jud ka pinas, especially naa duol ra ato mama ug papa. Pero anyway once in a while, mo uli lang, suroy ayala ug sm, lingaw na....
