bitaw.. pwede bya jud ma pirate ang mga computer parts.... but lisod kau na para sa mga reverse engineers kay d man cla basta2 maka kuha ug mga spare parts, especially kanang mga ASICs... also, maglisod cla ug decrypt sa mga highly encrypted firmware sa mga manufacturer... unya talking about PC, d bya basta2 ang mga end-user mupalit ug parts... kung mupalit cla pirated na mobo for example, luoy kau.... unya adto ra pud ta palit anang mga authorized distributor kay most likely, d na mubaligya ug pirated....

Tech ARP - Counterfeit Intel Boxed Processors Rev. 2.0

Hazards Of Using A Fake Boxed Processor

    1. Shorter Warranty
The fake retail processors are not backed up by the three-year warranty that real boxed processors have. If your processor dies after one year (due to the problems listed below or otherwise), you will not be able to get it replaced by Intel. For more information on the warranty of Intel processors, take a look here.

    2. Shorter Lifespan

The thermal dissipation of such low-quality coolers is poor. Its fan would very likely use cheap sleeve bearings that have relatively short lifespans. The higher temperatures the processor has to endure and the higher risk of the fan failing will result in a shorter processor lifespan.

    3.Poorer Performance
Current Intel processors have thermal protection built-in. When the processor temperature reaches a certain threshold, the processor will automatically reduce its temperature by inserting idle cycles, a feature known as thermal throttling. This reduces the performance of the processor. If the cheap cooler fails, the temperature might continue to increase to the point where the processor is forced to shut down, resulting in loss of data.

    4.Damage To The Motherboard
Although this phenomenon is rare, a bad fan can damage the motherboard with devastating consequences.

    5.Higher Noise Level
The three main concerns when it comes to manufacturing cheap fans are cost, cost and cost. No, the noise level is of no concern at all. Such fans will use sleeve bearings which are cheap but also very noisy.

pwede man nila mapirate but a few months after masunod na nila, naa nasad bago nga model maabot. So gamay ra sila mahalin ana, alkanse sila sa pagreverse engineer. Kanang memory, motherboard and video, pwede ra masunod kay naa ramana silay mga pisa, and makahimo raman sila ug circuit board. But when it comes to harddisk, medyo lisod na kay dapat 100% dust free environment or when it comes to processors, low level na kaayo ang paghimo.

Ahh, sa ako pagkahibalo di daw na ma imit nag ask ko karon sa ako friend from china and taiwan, they said lisod mag negotiate sa mga chipset maker, dili basta basta mao di jud na mahitabo ma pirate. Wehehe..salamat di diay jud ma pirate.

Reverse Engineer ang lisod na part.

These things need a lot of engineering. The plants themselves cost billions of dollars to make. So no. The "counterfeit" parts are either rejects from the plants or have been stolen.

most of these "pirated" tech goods are actually stolen goods...factory overruns(as known in Guandong China, morag MEPZ diri sa ato-a)...over(the bakod)...runs(gidagan ug pila ka eskina padulong sa ilang tindahan/warehouse/bangketa)...u can ask people from Intel Philippines...they too have a lot of stories about pilferage...u can't believe sa ingenuity sa mga Pinoys in hiding these things...
