Do you maintain fix number of clients? How do you know they will pay you if they are new?

I usually maintain 2 or 3 clients, not more. More would make it impossible to finish projects on time.
And, this clients are not just for one project, that are long-term clients.
My current client is working with me since about 6 years...

Because they have to pay me weekly, and a project won;t be finish within a week, its easy for me. If they do not pay a week, they won;t get the software.

How do you get your client? What happen to your previous clients?

nindut gyud ang freelance..but mas maayo gyud nang naa work also kay by the time mo abot naka sa imong retirement age or kanang gi arthritis na imong tudlo or hanap na imong panan-aw nya dili naka maka code..luoy au ka kay wala kay pension since wala gabayad ug SSS ang freelancer..unless siguro if kanang ila gibayaran ilang kaugalingon didto sa SSS which is very rare for a freelancer to do..hehe..

    To got my current clients:

I developed in my spare time about 15 esoteric titles, like palmreading, tarot, numerology, graphology, facereading, i-ching and more, for just this purpose. I posted this title on my website, offered license to use them commercial by country. It took not long and companies from around the world got interested to purchase a license for their country. And after a while, some offered me to work with me in future, and so I made contracts with them, with unlimited duration, and weekly payments...
Another way is to google for companies which offer lots of titles and which are seeking new titles...
Its quiet easy to find clients. Not here, but in Australia, the US and Europe.

This sounds stupid, but it worked as planned... took me about 2 years to got what I wanted.

But enough about that. We went quiet off topic.
