the sample size that statisticians consider in making national surveys does not have anything to do with the population. just a point. even if there are 88 million filipinos, it is reasonable for a survey to only have a sample size of 1000, with a margin of error of 3%. it is impossible to do a survey on the whole philippine population, because it is too expensive and it is impractical. It is from the sample of 1000 filipinos that the statisticians make their generalizations about the whole population. as long as the sampling procedure they chose is appropriate for such survey and population, then i'd say the survey is quite reliable.

yes, they are credible the reason being is they are the one's that created the tool on how to saturate areas and conduct surveys naa lang gyud margin of error pro its 95% accurate. I was working for a school based research company after graduating college and same tools ra ang amu gi follow that with SWS , after the survey gwas gyd tinuod nga result!
