I'm kinda confused.. what's the exact model of the 2 JBL amps? is the 604 a 4 channel amp 60 watts per channel? and is the JBL 1004 a 4 channel anp 100 watts per channel? I really not that familiar with jbl amps so if you could put the specific models of the amps, that would be great.

If you are referring to the JBL GT5-A604, you can put that in your wife's car and have 2 channels powering the seps and bridge the other two channels to power the sub. Since you are going for SQ in the wifey's car then you could just put a kicker comp 10" and put it in a sealed box. I think you can get a kicker comp, not the comp VR in tri-j for like 3,800. If you don't like kicker then you could also put a crossfire 10" sub which comes out to like 5k in audiopro.

Fi BTL's is going to need a serious amp. DLS is more of an SQ sub and DD is just for all out boom but they aren't very clean IMO. we all know you can't go wrong with kicker... I'm not much of a fan when it comes to RF subs. power series amps, old school punch are very good but their subs aren't that sturdy.

If i were ever to change my amps I would go with sundown audio. Sundown audio with some BTL's would really slam!!!

Thanks again bro, am definitely following your advice, my problem tho is that the amp is longer than i thought and won't fit under my seat like the 604. So i went to Jino today and he suggested adding a semi amp rack. So i will see if its worth the hassle and money or just put it in the wife's pajero as it has more space than my EK hatch.

amp rack and even false floors are very easy to make bro. I did mine all myself. i'm sure you could do one for about 1,500 with carpet. Mine cost me a lot more than that because of the size.

I also did one for my wife's CRV before. took no time at all to do. Here are some pics.
