I really wanted to buy the altis but after going over my credit card bill i opted not to get a new car just yet. I'm trying to look for a used altis, mazda 3 or vios and let the wife use that for 6 months then buy a new car in January. I'd rather use the money that i have to pay off my huge credit card bill. hehehe. I'm just thinking of being practical for now and not have any utang.

lancer was the worst of the bunch...low grade quality if you ask me...
on paper it looks and sounds impressive but in reality, not quite so...
falls short in almost all aspects really...

In what way(s) does Altis have advantage over Honda bro?

no auto rain sensor (in the altis wiper starts when it rains automatically. when rain gets harder, wiper goes faster. when rain slows down or drizzles, wiper adjusts to compensate. when you are in a shade/under a tree or go in the basement parking when its still raining wiper stops automatically prevent ruining the blades when windshield is dry...)
no lights sensor (in the altis when your start in the basement/garage lights automatically turn on. when you go out in the day lights turn off automatically. when you turn into ayala to park underground automatic on ang lights...safty kaayo
parking sensor (front and rear sonar).
no manual leveling of headlamps.(if daghan sulod imo baggage maghagad gamay ang car diba. ang headlights might not be pointed at the road anymore. with the altis maadjust nimo
less headroom. (mas hayahay gyud ang altis)
no power seats. (the best gyud ang altis..try it...comfortable kaayo)
smaller rear window bad for backing up.
bit stiff and harder less comfortable ride/seats.
all these points go to altis.

civic's stiff blue seats was not to my liking (yuk).
wider turning radius than the altis (making a uturn is easier with the altis)
civic has the smallest tank capacity among the bunch means more trips to the gas station.

biggest deal breaker for me sa civic is the maintenance from year 4 to year 15 would be many times more than the altis.

very nice observation Mark, I do have to agree that the blue leather interior of the 2.0 Civic felt really stiff and not as comfortable as the Altis. I suggest you give your new whip a set of 19's as soon as possible to make it stand out=P. Although the Civic came out way back on 2006, so let's wait for what Honda has to offer for the 2009 model. The Lancer was a big disappointment though. Mos of the new 2008-2009 Mitsubishi cars and SUV's today really has bad interior quality when it comes to using materials (plasticky), even the expensive Outlander 3.0 GLS sport fell short from my expectations from a 1.4-1.6 million peso car.
