all the information is there but the application and how its done is not. You need someone to show it how it's done correctly. You don't have to get lessons everyday....once a month would suffice.....depending on your level. It is also very hard to learn "reading music".....notes.... without the aid of the teacher. If you know how to read music....you can play anything....you can even play with the real pro session musicians.

i still beg to differ.. i'm 97% self taught.. however, i just started to learn reading notes 1 year ago.. i'm not there yet but i can read basic stuff.. it's very hard to learn to read music if you don't have the patience to start all over again..

i know that a teacher is very important but it doesn't mean that u can't learn without one.. i still believe that one can learn even by just surfing youtube..

However, the most important thing that a person can possess is the willingness and the drive to learn... I took piano and voice lessons once but i never improved because i wasn't really that interested..
