fyi, re:degeneration is not a follow up to re:extinction.
the movies are deviating from the story of the original titles, with the introduction of "alice". in the movies, leon s. kennedy died, carlos olivera died, etc...
this is nearer to a canon than the movies in the jovovich trilogy. this presumably happens a year after re4 and sometime before re5. note that the voice actor for leon kennedy in this cg movie is the same as the voice actor in re4. and, if you would listen, you'd get a hunch that claire's voice here is the same as in re2.
