Chicago Filipino American Film Festival 2008
Call For Film and Video Submissions

Submissions are now being accepted for the 2008 Chicago Filipino American Film Festival (CFAFF).

This year's festival will take place on November 7-9, 2008 at CFAFF's new home: the Portage Theater, a historic 1,300-seat venue in Chicago's northwest side that has just completed a multi-million- dollar renovation.

The 2008 festival marks our fifth year of bringing feature films, shorts, music videos and documentaries to Chicago. We feature works from rising talents from the Filipino American independent scene, as well as acclaimed works from the vibrant cinema of the Philippines.

2008 CFAFF to Award Leading Submissions
To celebrate our fifth year, CFAFF will present awards to the best films in the following categories:

    Feature-length Narrative
    Documentary (feature-length or short)
    Short film (narrative)
    Music Video
In addition, the Music Video category will include a cash grant of $1,000. To qualify, music videos must represent a collaboration between filmmakers and musical artists.

    Deadline
The early deadline for submissions is September 15, 2008. Late entries may be accepted until October 1, 2008. However, entries received on or before the early deadline will receive stronger consideration.

Attention international filmmakers: if friends, relatives,or associates submit films on your behalf, please include your direct address and contact information along with all submission materials in order to prevent problems in communicating directly with the filmmaker.

Entry forms, regulations, music video rules and other festival information can be found at Chicago Filipino American Film Festival (cfaff) - Home.
