Yup, you can get criticized/praised on forums. Let alone photography. I suggest we take it like a man and continue to improve kaysa ma-stuck on why we are criticized in the first place.

LOL. Daan pa lagi ko. I do expect to get criticize but please do it objectively next time. For example, if one says to use a better punchline, then maybe follow it up with a suggestion.

@yoncha: If you mean the eyes, chest circle, and the two smaller ones on the sides, then no. I'm imagining shooting the Iron Monger toy for a toy catalog so I cannot make the "lights" glow because customers may look for them when they buy the actual toy.

If you mean, the background, then yes I edited it. Here's the original (unedited) kay mas dali i-describe. Nahimo ra sila very puti kay nigamit ko Levels tool sa Photoshop. Pag-white nako sa background, na-apil pud si Iron Monger (mas hayag na so siguro naa illusion na iya white parts are brighter than they are in real life).



It's difficult for me to actually take a photo of a subject with a white background without post-processing because

(1) I don't have a mini studio that will allow me to use longer sweeps that I can shine a light against to wash it out naturally (I read that either white cotton or vinyl cloth is best). At least naa daw 3 feet between the subject and the end part sa sweep kung tabletop setting.

(2) I lack two more desk lamps (giver_bert suggested I used three). I'm still looking for one that is the same as mine para mas consistent.

Ang lingaw sa toy photography is that kung unsa principles for shooting portraits (whether face or full body), ma apply gihapon sa toys. Sige gani ko hunting nude toys para maka practice nude photography na libre ug dili maka-tintal pero mahal man sad kaayo mga Queen's Blade and other adult Japanese figurines oi. Sayang wala na si Mercedes sa Gaisano South. ;p
