I just realized how similar Joker's intentions here to what happened in the comicbook The Killing Joke - if you read back it was a reference material for the stars including Heath Ledger so that he can study the character. Only in the comicbook Commissioner Gordon was kidnapped and attempted to being driven into insanity by Joker by witnessing the shooting of Barbara Gordon (former Batgirl who now fights crime in a wheelchair under the pseudonym Oracle). Wow im glad i still keep a copy of the comicbook.

The movie is indeed well written to fit the genre Chris Nolan is so familiar with. Definitely deserving its place in the boxoffice.

still no. 1 in the Box Office @ its 3rd week, rumor has it that The Dark Knight will sink Titanic's #1 spot....lets wait and see
