SLINGS feed em legs of large crix or crush the heads of the large crix pre kill it . if large crix ra naa. not much on superworm wla kayo nutrition fat ra ug moisture naa. kng last resort na ang superworm. better in the long run for inverts.

really depends kung unsa imo e feed and kung unsa imo available nga feeders...some mealworms lng tanan and some roaches jd(wow! sosyal, pero ok ra kay mahal mn sd inverts..hehehehe), anyway mas maayu jd kung lain2 imo e feed para ma anad sa tanan clase nga feeders...

yep esp. dri sa ato gamay ra supply of feeders. variety is difficult to acheive.

yup i also have superworms in stock but i observed that they prefer and relish crickets more. yeah, i know their big hind femora can kick really hard and cause serious injury to delicate slings. what I do is just use crix that are smaller than my sling. before serving, i slightly pinch the head with a tweezer and remove their hind femoras. the crix will then be paralyzed and slightly twitching na lang. this way, the prey item is still alive when placed in the enclosure, but is already so weak to cause any injury to slings.

Just want to know if any of you guys have tried feeding your inverts with sea roach a.k.a beach wood louse or funamushi in japan? see sample image below:

some facts i've been able to get about this beach invert: Beach wood louse | The Japan Times Online

very abundant man gud ni nga anthropod sa area sa among office coz atbang ra mi sa dagat. usahay musulod ni sila sa indoor garage namo. dili pud lisod dakpon. i also observe that they scavenge and feed on left overs just like roaches and crickets. they also feed on algaes and decaying plant matter. if so, i guess, they can do well in captivity with the same feeds that we give crickets and superworms. i'm gonna try and bring home a few this week and see how they will do in captivity.

they also reproduce with the female carrying her eggs until they hatch into small versions of the adults. at least that answers my initial question as to how they reproduce. i initially thought man gud that they lay their eggs in the sea and their youngs are like sea-based zooplanktons.

mura ra ni sila pud ug cricket or roach kahumok ang body. their exoskeleton segments looks similar to dubian roaches. they also have a pair of sensory tails that look like those in crickets, though theirs branch further at the tips. I was thinking na basin pwede ni siya na pang add sa variety sa feeder that we give our Ts.

    what's ur opinion guys?

wla pa ko ka try .dnt feed wildcaught feeders very risky to parasites ato inverts.. but if you can try and reproduce one batch then throw the parents and from that one batch start a colony of clean feeders it could work... if in your research non parasitic cla and not harmful to its would be predator (basin naa venom or some kind na once ingested maka da-ot) experiment sa dha ang lingaw .
captive bred feeders are the way to go para wla parasites

thanks for the advise bro. yep, those were initially my hesitations coz untested pa man gud ni siya as feeder. gotta experiment sa...first about how well they do in captivity, reproduction rate and their acceptability and effects on pet inverts as feeders. will experiment first with different wild caught spiders and see how they response upon ingesting this isopod.

im actually scouring our backyard for some spiders i can use as test subjects (hopefully i can find a couple of P.Baeri or Phil Dwarf T). =)
