    Thanks!

    Peace!

I can refute that. My friend set up Fedora in his internet cafe, he's the only one running in the area and his cafe is puno daw.

    God bless.

Either that or you suffer the fate of being raided, and cafe being forced open, and pay a bigger amount in the first place, assuming of course you have an internet cafe.

Little trivia, don't you know on of the highest paying jobs abroad are Linux consultants?

puno daw, kana wala nay resebo. it's pure speculation.

kung tinuod man gani, i wonder how many times nag pangyawa^ ang mga costumer kay they're not familiar with the interface.

If you dont pay the licence, you will be raided, obvious ba? You're making money from it so it's worth to buy a licence.

and there you are...what's the point of having Linux if you pay to high paying consultants?

To those linux advocates and wanna be linux consultants, if you really want to do that, you should give incentives to internet cafe who will become guinea pig or your pilot.

Warning to internet cafe, this pilot crap is a risk ug dili na duwa^ duwa^ inyong negosyo. after all, ikaw ray mag-igo.

    You forgot the other list:

    # Physicians and surgeons -- $147,000
    # Aircraft pilots -- $133,500
    # Chief executives -- $116,000
    # Electrical and electronic engineers -- $112,000
    # Lawyers and judges -- $99,800
    # Dentists -- $90,000
    # Pharmacists -- $85,500
    # Management analysts -- $84,700
    # Computer and information system managers -- $83,000
    # Financial analysts, managers and advisors -- $84,000
    # Marketing and sales managers -- $80,000
    # Education administrators -- $80,000

You forgot the It managers and IT people - they're paid by the hour man. You see, my whole family is in the States. My brother is about to go there, and my father is always telling me to go, but my patriotic and other ideals always let me prefer to stay here. Also, Computer and IS Managers are increasingly finding themselves to work on Unix/Linux systems, and US are in fact having a "demand" of IT people, although it is not advertised as much as nursing.

Big companies use Linux/Unix, Wall Street recently changed their systems to linux. Also, you see Walmart shops and other malls offer Linux computers, which unfortunately here in the Philippines, computer shops dont.

Disney, Pixar, LucasArts, etc. are running in Linux computers - they run Photshop in wine! Do you know one of the contributors of Wine are guys from Disney?

Your favorite movies with CG effects are rendered in Linux workstations.

And to top it, my friend who wants to go to Canada asked me before to teach him linux - and come to think of it, he's a MS Office / Windows instructor before!

Why? Demand bay. Two buzzwords that come big in companies - Linux... Java.

Brazil, Germany, China, India, etc are now experimenting and implementing Open Source solutions. The biggest threat of Microsoft? Linux... in fact in their SEC financial statements, they point Linux as a threat.

One of the big competitor of MS? Google - they had a squabble over a former MS employee who went to Google. And what are Google's systems? Linux.

So you see, there is a demand... increasing demand. And I wonder why people here in the Philippines have been so lovey dovey with MS. MS has been increasingly seen in Linux shows worldwide... now why do you think is that?

    God bless. Peace!
