@blackhawk & xpjhx, I'm glad we're on the same page on this.

I've been a member of various organizations in the past and I have seen some of these groups' foundation crumble to the ground because of the very same things...sarcasm, immaturity, know-it-all complex, crab mentality, etc.

I believe that by being civil and mature in all our dealings, this small community can become strong and will eventually grow.

I agree with ribnum's suggestion that those who are into inverts here in Cebu meet. Just a casual meeting of people bound by a common passion for these magnificent arachnids. Then we can talk about anything concerning our common hobby...then, maybe, that will be the start where all differences can be settled and set aside.

I am sorry bro, but I beg to disagree with this line of thinking.

Either gamay or dako ang community, kung daghang immature and mag sige ra ug pangaway ug other hobbyists/traders, mahimo ra gihapon gubot ang community.

Besides, a hobby like this is surely bound to become popular in the long run. hence, there's no other way but for the community to become bigger sooner or later.

Wouldn't it be nicer if the small community that we have right now will be harmonious and helpful to other hobbyists/traders? For those who would like to also breed or trade Ts, would you wish for the community not to grow? Just think about it.

Wouldn't it be better also if the day would come when we will no longer depend on Manila and/or Davao as the source of captive-bred T slings? Henceforth, if we really look forward for this picture to become a reality someday, then, we will wish for the community to grow.

Also, if our community is unified, we can agree to set price benchmarks for specimens that are being sold here in Cebu. Price benchmarks will also take into consideration factors about the specimens being sold (T variety, locally bred, slings bought from Manila or Davao, imported, etc, etc.). With these things into consideration, we will be able to price locally available (meaning Cebu) Ts accordingly.

Again, I would like to reiterate na wala ko nangita ug lalis or away. I am sorry kung naka-offend ko sa akong mga gisulti...but there is no other way to face something than to be straightforward about it.

I think what I'm trying to stress out here is NOT difficult to understand.

"Let us appreciate and enjoy the beauty of raising these magnificent Tarantulas. But WE SHOULD NOT be like our pets who will maim and kill each other when given the opportunity."

Showing your sick attitude in any forum here in istorya might result in losing a potential costumer/ buyer or a trusted seller or supplier… remember that not all the time that u are a buyer, sometimes u can be the seller too. . So have power over your temper and try to be nice in replying a post..
