Best Advice EVAR!!!!
Anyways......check also if you have the latest drivers for your built-in audio & video.
BTW....I just checked the specs of the game your playing....Second Life | System Requirements
It seems your have the minimum requirements.
If updating the drivers does'nt work try to match the "Recomended" requirements, in your case increase the RAM to 1GB.
If that proves to be a very expensive option you could try playing the game at a lower resolution. Also turn down some of the "eye-candy" of the game.
hi grss1982, thanks! I've noticed that, too! hahaha
by the way, ang ako celeron processor okay ra na cya? i'll upgrade my RAM then i'll update you if it'll be working.
oi, unsaon diay pag update sa drivers? sorry, i'm a dum dum when it comes to computers![]()
Your processor is ok. About updating drivers....by your own admission it seems "technologically challenged" ka, so I would advice against you doing it yourself. Maybe ask a "techie" friend of yours how to do it.
Anyways, if the technician from where you bought that laptop from was competent enough no need to worry if updated ang imo drivers.
I would instead advice you to try a lower resolution when playing the game, and adjust the settings for "eye-candy." Example according to the system requirements 1024x768 ang resolution to play the game, try kuno to lower if possible to maybe 640x480 or 800x600.
Also try this:
Click "Preferences" and then click "Graphics."
AND then do the following:
1) Uncheck the performance options. All six of them.
2) Check the "Run in Window" option and choose 800x600 or even lower 640x480.
3) Switch Avatar Rendering to "Normal"
4) Switch Terrain Detail to "None"
Hope that helps.![]()
consider to ensure pud optimal cooling stuff under your laptop, hehhe... dont deep fry your system.. hehehe
newer systems, trip-off when overheating, or in simplest way, it turns off/switch to low clock if heat is beyond tolerable limits. we don't know pud whats your power management settings, bios and windows.
consider to full power your laptop if you want games..... hehe.. give it what it wants, and it will give you what you wanted.
AMD_infinium05 and grss1982, thanks mucho!
actually, am not into highly graphic games (sakto ang term), and dili jud ko gamer. hahaha. ganahan lang ko ug second life. What I usually play other than Second Life are only flash games. hehehe.
I will just adjust the settings, though it will be a pain to reduce those eye-candies!
And I will also get a cooler ASAP. thanks!!!
thanks grss1982been playing SL for quite sometime now pero wala ko kabantay ani nga settings.
hmm, I am still figuring out how my avs will work with a low resolution *sob**sob*
