i'm not so sure on this one. considering the low average prices of DDR2's today, there's no need to purchase an imitation, in which, theoretically, you'd be sacrificing speed and quality.
but if they work well, then maybe, it's a good buy. but, if the price difference is just by the hundreds, then save yourself some hassle and buy the originals.
if these were DDR3 modules however, hm... XD

you're absolutely right about the low prices for DDR2's. buying imitations would definitely be unreasonable.
however, I don't think they have DDR3 modules yet and i'm only interested on the DDR400's. these are relatively scarce and expensive nowadays.
so as you see if one aspires to buy 4 modules of DDR400's, even a difference of a few hundreds for each would go a long way in the wallet..
