Which come/preached first OLD TESTAMENT or GOSPEL?

Ro 1:1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God

2 which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures,



The "which" in verse 2 refers to the "gospel of God" in the last part of verse 1. What does verse 2 say about the Gospel?


*Here in verse 2, we have the Person who promised the Gospel:


2 which He PROMISED........


--------God is the one who promised the Gospel.


*We have the time when the Gospel was promised:


2 which He promised BEFORE......


--------The Gospel is good news but it is not new news. It was promised BEFORE.



*We have the human agents through whom God promised the Gospel:


2 which He promised before THROUGH HIS PROPHETS.....


--------God promised the Gospel through His Old Testament prophets.


*We have the place in which the promise regarding the Gospel was recorded:


2 which He promised before through His prophets IN THE HOLY SCRIPTURES,

but it doesn't mean the gospel mentioned in that verse refers to the FOUR gospels right?

logic tells me those gospel writers didn't exist during Abraham's time. unless there's some kind of MAGIC.
