12. Every contest category must have at least a minimum of seven (7) contestant in order to be declared a valid contest. Should a contest category has less than seven (7) contestants, such contest category shall be declared “NO CONTEST” and all prizes shall be forfeited.

so if its forfeited/no contest...do we get our registration money back?!

13. The overall winner judged as the Best Picture in the Photo Contest shall be awarded only that amount allocated as its prize. The amount that the entry could have won in his category shall be awarded to the next lower winner to elevate all winners in that category one rank higher with its corresponding prizes.

15. All entries must be submitted on or before September 8, 2008 with duly accomplished entry forms all submitted entries shall become sole and exclusive property of the Municipality of Carmen and maybe reproduced and/or reprinted into any size for exhibition without seeking permission from the owner nor paying compensation for the acquisition of said photos.

sole and exclusive property na nuon ninyo ang among work...what your saying is our work becomes your work and we (the photographers) dont have rights anymore?! we cant use it na nuon? kami pa nuon kailagan managhid ninyo to use photos we took. not a chance...its like giving your soul to the devil... how can we take pride in our work when that work is not ours anymore?! di ko mu bayad ninyo just so you can take away my rights oi!

if this is it, i would probably take photos there but gamiton nalang nako ang akong 350 pang pliti padulong didto. ako nalang na ikaon. and i can sell my AWARD quality photos to stock photo houses and galleries and post them in online sites or even display it in my own EXHIBIT.
and hey, if your organizers will love and want my photos...you'll have to pay for it at the right price...

I think they have to expound more on the contest rules.

And as I understand it, but I might be wrong, the photo contest pertains to the Festival Queen competition - the talent's night and the coronation night only. I think there's not a street dancing type since there's not a mention of it in the rules either.

yeah you miss something... festival queen (actually miss carmen) is only 1/4 of story...
OVERALL WINNER will be the entry which gives the best impression of the Municipality of Carmen and its Sinamay Festival.

Mau Mau Take Photos then post it here then sinamay organizer will steal and then post it sa internet and news paper and you complain and they will tell you its our photos and and wa kai ma buhat hehee
