i hope NADSU officials will inculcate to their driver-members more discipline & tips or a seminar on how to save fuel. They shouldn't depend only on LTO, u know.
Driving habits is one. Unnecessary revving the engine, making abrupt stops is more fuel consuming. Another is regular maintenance check like an engine tune-up. I even still see a lot of smokebelchers out there. AFAIK, when an engine is already belching out a lot of smoke, the engine is no longer fuel-efficient.
Jeepneys & taxis should also make sure their odometer is functioning. Ako gani when i make a re-fuel, i always see to it that i reset the odometer reading to zero. That way i can keep track how many kilometers is being run by the fuel i bought. If i see that my car is already running below 10 kms per liter, then it is time for an engine tune-up.
If NADSU or other transport groups would only show that they are serious in disciplining their drivers and in saving fuel, and not just come out only when they need an increase in fares, then walay maglagot nila nga mga tawo. kay sa pgka karon, they are perceived to be as SELF-CENTERED. MGA WAY AYO.
