Please...please, do not use comets as portents of bad events or omen--they're just giant balls of ice and rock for Chrissake--unsay gibuhat intawon sa cometa sa inyo? As an amateur astronomer, ma-lagot and ma-guol ko kanunay whenever bugok people keep talking about astronomy as a tool to justify superstition. Lami kaayo i-galig sa meat grinder.

First off, there are no naked-eye comets for the latter half of this year, and you'd even be lucky if you see one with a pair of binocs. Chances are, you won't even recognize one if you see it. So how could it be possible that a thing out there in deep space, which you can't even recognize even if you managed to see it with a decent telescope, actually affect the planet where you live in? *shakes head*
