if maayong laki gyud mo sa IT, ayaw intawn mo trabaho ug callcenter. pang abroad mo and find an IT specialization na di ma outsource such as network systems administrator, software systems analyst or software developer.

di na ma-outsource coz kinahanglan na ug physical presence sa country kung asa ka mo trabaho.

tan-awon talang ug madala ba sa manual ang command sa mga routers ug switches...

    "Thank you for calling sir"
"Okay sir go to the console on your router then issue comman, telnet server, then config t"
    "then command: copy run start"

just want to share my thoughts here..........

i started working on a call center somewhere in makati 11 years ago (name withheld cuz scam ni sya)...wa man ko kaibaw for the first 9months nga scam diay (i know many of us who worked at the call center industry remember the movie "Boiler Room" - yap that's the set up and nature of my first call center job)....what i've known is i purchased a land for my parents because of that job as an agent (we were paid $100/week, rate per dollar that time is P/ 54.00 - do the math, i am earning more than 40k/month +++ comish, also in dollars)...those we're the days working in a scam call center!!!

After knowing that it's not a ligitimate company (signs we're apparent when NBI started barging in at the office and confiscated materials - told you it's like the movie) i resigned, oh not resigned...just stop going at the office...that's the end of earning XXXXXX the earning of my Instractors at PSBA-Morayta (yap, i was a working student also that time)...

I promised my self not to work on a call center industry again after that experience....

I worked as Supervisor with Colgate Palmolive and Nestle Phils after that call Center experince...one of my brothers who's connected with Ambergriss encouraged me to worked again with Call Centers because of one good reason...the pay is high!!! It took me several months contemplating the challenge...the last thing I know is i've submitted my resume online to Xlibriss, Etel, PS and Sykes...One of the 4 companies was very quick to reply...I sent my resume @ 9am....recieved a call from their HR at 9:30 and the rest is history...

Am glad I landed a job on a ligitimate Call Center - no more fear of NBI barging in at the office anytime....

To gain the feel again of a call center job, I started working as an agent...i took in calls for 6 months, on my 7th month with the company, I proved my Supervisor that I have the talent and skills to handle a Team, I was recomended as a Coach...on my 9th month with the company I was already a full pledged Team Lead...

Call Center life can be challenging at times...we'll we just need to love our work, not because it's our bread and butter but we really know the meaning why we do such kind of work...It's really rewarding for me and my family...the pay, the benifits and of course the balance of life (time management plays key role).

I got 3 other bros and sis working in call centers in Manila...nag enjoy gihapon sila tanan, they're earning much at a very young age!!!

Nag enjoy sad ko here sa Cebu...learned to love the place and the people I mingle with...
In terms of income....my pay is OK as Supervisor, am not liquid in cash but i've just paid in full (last January) the raw land i purchased (2 - 95sqm) and my pension/insurance will also be paid in full this October ....

what can I say...I just love working here...it's the place to be hehehe!!!!

    thanks for reading .........
