The Band Journey

I was at their concert last night. The place was packed shoulder to shoulder. A lot of young white emo kids there. And coming from someone whose been to a lot of concerts it was actually pretty good. He's improved a lot from his earlier ones. He's more interactive with the crowds, he's running around stage working up the people, he kept the energy up throughout, made a couple of shout outs to the Filipinos, the band was tight you can really tell they're seasoned. Although Pineda's speaking voice is still mumbled, his singing voice was pretty clear and strong. The crowds were up on their feet beginning to end especially when he sang "Don't Stop Believing" that's when everyone went crazy.

Don't get me wrong. I am happy for the guy.
He is indeed very impressive. The sad part was
when he was interviewed by a local Tagalog TV station,
by a tagalog host speaking in Tagalog, he answered,
with all his heart and soul (not to mention all his effort), in English.

That threw me off- totally.
If he's so proud and loud to be totally
Filipino, then what was that for?

I guess it's true that fame gets to your head
