^^@john_yo, simple naman ang solusyon diyan brod, children shouldn't watch too much unsupervised TV.

Since you feel so much about it, I suggest na lang that YOU should plan for a national campaign to influence parents to control and limit their children's viewing time and put more emphasis on studies and physical activities like sports.

But if you feel you're not up to to campaigning your cause, then worry about your own children na lang... never mind the others, ayaw mo ba noon? You think children of today are dumb right? Children are intelligent enough to know whats right and whats wrong. If they keep on seeing the same lines and emulate them, it's the parent's fault for not teaching them or emphasizing what's wrong. If the children sees it constantly, the parents should teach them constantly. Simple as that.

sorry but i was intelligent enough during my childhood days to distinguish what's right and wrong on commercials. I didnt even give a damn to those commercials, what I was anticipating were the cartoon shows after a commercial ends. Now if you went into that stage, then sorry but not everyone can relate.

SInce you keep on pointing Tide, let's attack your argument. So what if they memorize them? That 1 > 2 thing can be rectified at school. Children do not learn only at home. Unless you dont want your children to go to school then they will never know that 1 < 2. ANd yes, even parents know that 1 < 2 so they themselves can guide them on that matter.

It's up to you as a parent as to how would you TELL, EDUCATE, and TEACH your children and that goes for every parent out there too. Don't rely on advertisements to tell them what's right and wrong because that's a parent's role and we also have schools for that matter, not the advertisements.

Do you think advertisements are the only avenue that can influence your child? Think again. Because no matter how bad and "immoral" advertisements would be if the child has the right upbringing, it would jsut be fine.

If you can't handle commercials for your child, it's simple. Turn off the TV.
