Yeah, but I'm really NOT liking the dead-on DANCE house music. The ones that just drone on with the bass kicks and claps. I like the soulful ones alot better, also the ones that have a very subtle latin twist to it. All these and more can be found on the Hed Kandi beach house compilations. Beautiful tracks. Dili sakit sa dunggan. lol.

no offense but i'm a music lover and my cousin is a DJ in australia (he plays house) thing is i find it quite simple to make... correct me if i'm wrong but i think u only need a few ounces of talent to create techno music... all you need is a keyboard and a PC with a good software. mediocre at best maybe but still u can call it techno or house...

it has no social relevance like rock music, reggae etc... u don't need to be a good dancer to dance to a techno beat unlike that dance thingy that you see on TV... the sport thing.

i'm really sorry if you find my post offensive and i admit the main reason why i think like this is because i'm not that familiar with house/techno music. so basically my point/opinion is coming from a very limited source. and i'm hoping to be "enlightened" so that ma appreciate sad nako kani na music. i've listened to ministry of sound and some other artist like android lust and some chill-out compilations. my cousin made me listen to it basically strapped in a chair... ministry of sound is good though... not really sure with the genre ani nila and murag sila ra ako na uyunan gamay how bout safri duo? apil ni sila? blueman group sad? sub genre ba ani ang electronica?

I like listening to soulful/ambient/latin house for the sole purpose of relaxing myself. I really enjoy it. The droned-out sounds of trance and disco house irritates me though. Although sometimes there are really good "buto" house tracks- mag-uyog2x gud ang balay. hehe

Techno/trance (not really sure about the classification) track I like:
Leftfield - Snakeblood

An example of house with soulful latin vibes, popularly known as "beach house":
Soldiers of Twilight - Believe
Kiko Navarro - Shining
Late Night Alumni - the Rest of Me

Most of these house tracks are not easy to make at all- acoustic guitar, horns, piano/keys, percussion can be found in these tracks. Not exactly dependent on pure electronic music as you say. Great relaxing music! I'm not really sure if you'll dig it though...

If you want an example of a really simple techno/trance/house track, try listening to Benni Benassi's "Satisfaction" or "Illusion". These are pretty effective dance music at raves. Ecstasy music. lol. These tracks can be accomplished through Fruity Loops alone (with filters).
