What's WRONG with Pinoy TV Commercials nowadays?

People see things differently and if you saw it that way, it's up to you as to how you tell and teach your children what's right and that goes for other parents out there as well. Personally, I see nothing wrong in those commercials because they have not "crossed the line".

Take note that the aim of advertisements is to advertise products thus right arithmetic and "generosity" is not really a big deal to them. Advertisements are not for educational purposes. It's about being creative and crafty on how to make a product more appealing to the people.

Television-watching for kids need adult/parental guidance. I suggest you continue to do so (guidance) even during commercial breaks. Commercial is part of television.

I have to admit commercial breaks (most of them) irritate me, but for completely different reasons - they seem to lack imagination.

1. i think you got me wrong bro, i think its you who got the message wrong, i did'nt say he was expecting. what i ment is if you are a fairy and you ask for something, do you really expect to get the whole thing and the owner gets nothing? think twice, maybe i can share but not all, the most i can give is half of whats there. so think clearly do you think giving a half of the sportscar was a good thing? the thought here was not something in return, its the thaught of giving half of the car. now if you think there is nothing wrong with it. think twice.

But then again, commercials in its purest context were never made to teach lessons. They exist to sell products. Im sure the children today are smart enough to make the distinction of which to emulate or not. And, i know the children today knows what commercials are for.

Right, if we must nitpick -- I didn't know television networks need to put the words PARENTAL GUIDANCE on most advertisements before it occurs to you that parental guidance is needed, in fact, on almost everything related to children growing up. You said yourself you were raised well by your mom and dad; you had very good parental guidance, neh? Or are you telling me you only received parental guidance when you were watching television?

I have to disagree that he only received parental guidance through television. Ads are screened for obscene, violent, and immoral material which are not supposed to be put up for everyone's viewing. In lieu, I do not consider modern day television ads to bear any movement against the laws.However, yes, it is not new to us that children need parental guidance in watching so that they'll be able to understand the ways of reality. So being mature parents, we do not need to be informed of the words PARENTAL GUIDANCE on the "idiot box" (TV).

i totally agree with you on the 1>2 commercial. adults may understand it's an exaggeration or maybe some kids too but others may take it at face value.
