ANIM'EST the Bucharest International Animation Film Festival is an international competition festival that seeks to promote cartoons and animated films from all over the world, with a special focus on films from Europe and Romania.
Official competitive sections:
a) Short film – less than 50' : short animated films made after January 1st 2006, which have not previously competed in any ANIM'EST festival.
b) Feature film – up to 50': animated feature films made after January 1st2006, which have not previously competed in any ANIM'EST festival.
c) Video clip and advertising: short animated film made primarily together with existing music covering minimally 80% of the footage or a short commercial film made upon a request to support the sale of a product or service or to promote a brand, program or event.
d) Student film: a short animated film made by a student or a film school after January 1st 2006, which has not previously competed in any ANIM'EST festival.
e) Romanian shorts: Romanian animated films completed after January 1st 2005

CINANIMA main purpose is the promotion of the animation cinema, aiming to conquer new audiences as well as encouraging the exchange of experiences between the professionals and the audience.
CINANIMA 2008 will comprise a COMPETITIVE PROGRAMME (International and National) and a NON-COMPETITIVE PROGRAMME.
CINANIMA 2008 competitive sections are open to projects made after 1st of January of 2007 with "moving images through the manipulation of all varieties of techniques apart from live action methods".
Accepted formats are 35mm (optical sound), Betacam SP PAL, DVD
CINANIMA INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVE SECTION
Films may compete in the following international categories:
• Short Films - Class A - up to 15 minutes
• Medium Length Films - Class B - more than 15 minutes up to 50 minutes
• Feature Films - More than 50 minutes
• First Film or Graduation Film - Class D (check 4.7 of the regulations)
• Series - Class E (check 4.8 of the regulations)
• Commissioned Films - Class F - commercials, videoclips, trailers, educational
Cash awards for the international sections are ranging from EUR 2.500to EUR 4.000
