    help me guys.

    Dell Vostro 1400.

Someone Left this laptop to me to reset the password.
He is not the actual owner( sa iyaha kunong ??lolo nga namatay??) bisan kadudahan, dawat ghapon ko.

The problem is Mo appear na ang password prompt BEFORE pa mo load ang POST. So di jud ko kasulod sa BIOS set up to change boot sequence to boot from cd.

I've downloaded a certain master Password remover boot cd sa other thread sa other sites about ani nga problem but ineffective coz di man ka boot sa cd.

First i tried resetting the CMOS Battery but still the same.

Second I tried the Paper clip method. I know the risk of doing it but nothing happend, still the same.

Naa daw sa manila ani but hasol na kaau, basin diay naa ra diri cebu mo solve ani.

Daghan victims ani when purchasing Laptops from Sites like "ebay".

    I really need help here.

    Thanks

Nasabit nako ani. Ako na giuli sa nagbilin ani.

tawag jud ka tech support ani brad kay naa man na special password nga i-generate from the message and the service tag.

i work as a tech support for an oem manufacturer in the US in one of the call centers here. plus, ipa-verify authority pa jud ni, kung di ka verify, dili ka tagaan ug password.

for verification, you need the name of the person who bought the computer or is registered with. ang organization name sad sa computer would help.

and you should be able to give the full registered address. if it is really from his lolo then he must know the fullname and whereabouts of his lolo.

    most likely kinawat....

you don't forget your password... especially when you use the laptop everyday.....

i'm sure dell support has already been informed that this is stolen...

there is no way dell will give you the password....

its always advisable for laptop owners to set PASSWORDS for their laptop.... for security reasons... the Thief can never use it.....

he may be able to sell the ram or the hard drive... but its worthless for the thief....
