If you're wearing a piece of clothing because of the prestige it holds and not because of how it looks on you, then you're wearing it for the wrong reason. What I'm saying is, you should wear it because it looks good, fits good, feels good, and they're of good quality.

By the way .. A&F is geared more towards teeny boppers and young adults... a totally different market compared to Lacoste's. AND! (if you're concerned about prestige) the A&F brand doesn't hold as much (if any) prestige as Lacoste.

For me it's not about the status...they just offer a lot of colors than any other brands for me to mix and match...

United Colors of Lacoste....19 pa naa diri...wa nako nalabot akong Charteuse Green since I took this before I got that color. I just need a few more colors..

Take a survery of filipinos that wear real lacoste shirts and ul find out that the majority of them buy and wear those shirts because of the alligator and not because of the feel of the cloth. Especially the people that wear the fake lacostes of a poorer fabric.

The authentic lacoste does have a good "feel" in terms of cloth but so do other brands like nautica, ralph lauren, tommy hilfiger...and alot of polo shirts that are unbranded do also..

I meant AF, which includes abercrombie fitch, hollister, and RUEHL....more prestige if der aren't many ppl wearing those brands in ayala or sm is what i mean...ders no prestige if there are alot of fakes..

IZOD is a separate brand right now and they're cheaper yet the quality ain't that bad at all. Pretty much the same as Nautica.

I don't concern myself much on the "brand" prestige... again, if it looks good, feels good, and it's made of good quality.. then I'd wear it. Abercrombie and Fitch's styles looks very trendy except for some of their sweaters, collared shirts, dress shirts, and khakis .... RUEHL is A&F's upscale brand - same as Banana Republic being GAP's upscale brand. Hollister is pretty much the younger generation's clothiing line.

I agree, lahi ang market sa A&F, Hollister, et al and lahi sab sa Lacoste. Ang lacoste is on the wagon with brands such as RL and Escada. Id say all these brands are of good quality and have good feel, but only ang originals.

I have 12-15 year old lacoste shirts. no tear, minimal fade.
