nowadays, it's an obvious fact that when you take up nursing your aim is to work abroad .
    so given this pratical truth:

-it's pointless to dwell on arguments of having difficulty looking for a job as a nurse sa pinas
-it's expected nga because you want to abroad dapat mamohunan ka para makalarga. fees for exams, air fare among others .
sama sa bisan unsang venture where you want to earn, you have to invest. there's no free ride na bay.

    so why whine ?

i think planning still plays a very big role before taking up any course.

Agree. So if you decide to take up nursing you and your family should be ready and have the monetary resources so you can be a nurse abroad and earn more. Not that mu skwela ug nursing and wala diay money para sa expenses sa mga necessary exams and on the processing of the documents going to abroad.

i believe during the entire course of study na internalize na sa nurses all the good behind nursing career other than money. allowing yourselves to be used in saving peoples lives....think of it.
Yes I get the point. Akong mentality sa una is mag nursing para daghag dollars (+ pressure pa jud sa parents..hehe) but eventually i realized it's more than the moolah. Mas gratifying if you internalize the real essence of nursing & appreciate it's craft. And na-prove na nako when i had the chance to work. ka-nice diay sa feeling oi bisag kapoy cgeg duty. lahi ra jud katong estudyante pa kay lingaw² ray naa sa utok. If only we are 'fairly' compensated here, di na jud ko mangarap anang abroad² ba...

what i am trying to emphasize is that demand for nurses continue to soar, like other professions.....pun-an pa nga more and more are deprive of education so samot na jod ni, speaking of china, do you think they have more than enough nurses to care for its people? how about....competitive edge? Do i have to expound? Believe me, kulang ta sa nurses, tan-awa ra gud na sa V sotto hosp, daghan kaayo pasyente ang uban naa na gani sa hallway nag bay-ad, usahay di na ka makakita ug naa bay nurse, Suffice to say, those who vehemently denied the shortage problem of nurses, threatened lang na sila nga wala na unya engineers, teachers etc kay namalhin na nursing tanan kay as i have said nag luck jod ta sa human resources in every field. We have more unemployed professionals diha sa pinas not because walay work available, there are lots of work available but they are not willing to take for some reasons, try scanning the classified section of your local daily, nagkalata ng mga ads diha, clear-cut kaayo ni nga manifestation nga there is actually a labor shortage, hinoon naa jod mga tawo nga tapulan kaayo!!!!!

Mao ni saddest reality sa pinas, the capitalist and some unethical individuals took advantage of this scenario, pang wartahan jod ka. Kita man sila nga demand ang nurses with experience mao ni ron ila gibuhat, kon apply ka sa ila hospital, money down una....naa ra pod na nimo kon pailad ka, daghan viable option nimo kon resourceful lng ka, aplly diay ka singapore, taiwan or some other asian countries di na kinahanglan modaog pa ka sa lotto aron maka apply ani nga nasod, fly now pay later pa gani ng uban....for instance, sa singapore a nurse with no experience can earn 50 th to 60 a month, diskarte ra jod na kinahanglan, di kay kontento lng ta sa lingkod lingkod sa bangko huwat naay grasya.....!

10 years ago is a different story than today bro, its obvious you got the upper hand...compared to the new comers. look at our fresh graduates now... they are working for call centers

i think the problem is that every nurse wants to go outside the country. but not everyone has the resources(money) to do it.. and the school are feeding their "dreams" as long as they pay the tuition

also about the 1:30 ratio of nurses here in ph its not because the lack of nurses its because its the lack of funds on the hospital's end
mao nani ang nabantayan nako, kadagko nilag gibayran sa skwelhan, proud kaau sila sa ilang skwelahan, arte kaau ning mga taga cebu doc, inig graduate diay, sus, callgirll na ü
