Based on my knowledge as an Applied Physics major, CT scan is just taking xrays at different angles of incidence. With the know angles, one can reconstruct the actual 3-D shape of the target by complex numerical computations. So yes, it is quite dangerous. It's like taking 5 xrays at one time. But I guess the scientists have already made necessary calibrations such that it won't be harmful at some dosage. In short, panagsaon ra kung kailangan ra gyud. hehehe! it could save your life.
